Vernon J. Nagel has served as Executive Chairman of Acuity Brands since February 2020. Previously he served as the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from September 2004 to February 2020; as President from August 2005 to August 2019 and as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer from January 2004 through August 2004. Mr. Nagel joined the Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in December 2001. He was formerly a principal with Jepson Associates, Inc.; Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of Kuhlman Corporation; and Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of Stericycle, Inc. Mr. Nagel received his B.B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Neil M. Ashe has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Acuity Brands since February 2020. Prior to joining Acuity Brands, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Faster Horses LLC from February 2017 to December 2019; as President and Chief Executive Officer of Global eCommerce & Technology at Walmart, Inc. from January 2012 through January 2017, as President of CBS Interactive from July 2008 through July 2011; and as Chief Executive Officer of CNET Networks, Inc. from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Ashe received B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University and has an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Executive Vice President
Richard K. Reece has served as Executive Vice President since February 2020. Previously he served as the Company’s President from September 2019 to February 2020; as Executive Vice President from September 2006 to September 2019; as Chief Financial Officer from December 2005 to September 2019; and as Senior Vice President from December 2005 to September 2006. Prior to joining Acuity Brands in December 2005, he served as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Belden CDT, Inc. and held several other positions of increasing responsibility with Belden. Mr. Reece was also formerly a partner with Ernst & Young LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and graduated with honors with a B.S. degree from Auburn University.

Karen J. Holcom has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officers since September 2019. Previously she served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Associate Engagement of Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. (ABL) from January 2019 to September 2019; as Senior Vice President, Finance of ABL from 2006 to December 2018; as Vice President and Controller of Acuity Brands from 2004 to 2006; and as Vice President, Financial Services of Acuity Brands from 2001 to 2004. Prior to joining Acuity Brands, she served in various roles in accounting, reporting and financial reporting at National Service Industries, Inc. from 1998 to 2001. Ms. Holcom is a Certified Public Accountant. She has a B.S. degree in Accounting from Clemson University and has an M.B.A from Georgia State University.
